GHRP-6 calculator

GHRP-6 has been given to people as a single intravenous bolus dosed per kilogram of body weight, in a pharmacokinetic study and as a diagnostic stimulus in endocrine testing. It raises ACTH and cortisol as well as growth hormone, and no product is approved. Vials are 5 or 10 mg. The calculator does the vial arithmetic; the studied doses are listed below as reported, not converted.

Full research profile: GHRP-6. For any other concentration, use the insulin syringe units converter.

Why the GHRP-6 study doses are not converted to units

The published human studies of GHRP-6 report doses per kilogram of body weight, not a fixed amount. Turning them into milligrams or syringe units would mean assuming a body weight, so this page lists them as reported and converts nothing. A fixed amount quoted elsewhere is not the same thing as a weight-based dose.

The dosage section of the GHRP-6 profile explains the route, population and limits of each study.

Common questions

How much bacteriostatic water do you add to a 5 mg GHRP-6 vial?

There is no single correct volume: the amount of peptide is fixed and the water only sets the concentration. For 5 mg, 1 mL gives 5 mg/mL (50 mcg per unit), 2 mL gives 2.5 mg/mL (25 mcg per unit) and 3 mL gives 1.67 mg/mL (16.7 mcg per unit). More water makes each syringe mark hold less, which makes small amounts easier to measure accurately.

What dose does the GHRP-6 calculator use?

None. The published human studies of GHRP-6 report doses per kilogram of body weight (100, 200 and 400 mcg/kg of body weight), so they are not a fixed amount, and the calculator does not turn them into one. It converts a vial size, a water volume and an amount you enter into a volume and syringe units; the tables on this page show concentrations only.

What does one unit on an insulin syringe mean?

A unit is a volume mark, not an amount of drug. On a U-100 syringe 100 units fill 1 mL, so 10 units is always 0.1 mL; how much peptide those 10 units hold depends only on the concentration you mixed. U-40 syringes use 40 marks per mL, so the same volume reads as a different number of units.
