Peptide research data, studies and vendor information for your app

The same reviewed data behind the Peptide Library app and research library, as a versioned REST API with an OpenAPI spec, an interactive playground and an MCP server for AI assistants.

What you can build with

  • Peptide research

Profiles with names and aliases, mechanism, chemistry, evidence level, human and preclinical evidence kept apart, safety, regulatory status and references.

    Endpoints →
  • Studies and citations

Cited studies with PubMed, DOI and ClinicalTrials.gov identifiers and an evidence classification for each, from regulatory labels to in vitro work.

    Endpoints →
  • Vendor directory

Vendors with location, published ratings (verified reviews counted separately), catalog size and shipping destinations, each fact with its source.

    Endpoints →
  • Products and prices

Current listed prices by compound and form, never mixed across strengths, forms or currencies, with when each price was last seen.

    Endpoints →

Quick start

  1. 1. Call a research endpoint. No key needed:
    curl "https://api.peptidelibrary.app/v1/peptides/bpc-157"
  2. 2. Get a key in the dashboard for vendor, product and price data. Pick only the scopes you need.
  3. 3. Send it from your server as a bearer token:
    curl "https://api.peptidelibrary.app/v1/prices?peptide=bpc-157&form=vial&currency=USD&ships_to=US" \
      -H "Authorization: Bearer $PEPTIDE_LIBRARY_API_KEY"

Try a request

Live data from the production API.

No key needed for research endpoints. The response appears here.

Keys and scopes

Keys are shown once and stored only as a hash. Send them as Authorization: Bearer pl_live_… from your server, never from a browser or an app bundle. Rotate or revoke them any time.

  • research:read Peptide profiles, research summaries, regulatory status, categories, search. Also works without a key.
  • studies:read Cited studies and the studies index. Also works without a key.
  • vendors:read Vendor directory, profiles, shipping and comparisons.
  • products:read Products (compound × form) with price ranges.
  • pricing:read Current offers with listed prices and affiliate links.

Where the data comes from

Profiles are written and reviewed under the editorial policy and methodology: claims cite PubMed, DOI, trial registries and FDA or WADA records, and fields a profile doesn't document say so instead of being filled in. Vendor facts carry their source; ratings follow how rankings work.

Peptide Library may earn a commission when you buy through these links, at no cost to you. Commissions never affect which offers are listed or their order. Prices are as last seen on the vendor's site; check the vendor before relying on them.

Questions

Is the Peptide Library API free?
Yes. Research and study endpoints work without a key, and a free developer key covers 5,000 vendor, product and price requests a month. Larger plans are planned but not on sale yet.
Does the API give dosing information?
No. It never returns doses, regimens, cycles, reconstitution or injection instructions. Profiles are research and education, not medical advice.
Where do the prices come from?
From vendors' own product pages, checked about once a day. Each price says when it was last seen, and offers not seen for 30 days are dropped. Prices are never converted between currencies.
Are the vendor links affiliate links?
Some are. Links to vendors go through Peptide Library and may earn a commission, which never changes which vendors are listed or their order. Responses that include links carry the disclosure.
How do I get a key?
Sign in with a Peptide Library account (free), open the developer dashboard, accept the API terms and create a key. It is shown once; store it on your server.

Research and educational information only. Not medical advice, and not a recommendation to buy or use any substance. Many of these compounds are not approved for human use. Use of the API is subject to the API terms. Questions: support@peptidelibrary.app.
