Ipamorelin calculator
Ipamorelin has been given to people only intravenously: a pharmacokinetic study in healthy men and two phase 2 trials after bowel surgery, all dosed per kilogram of body weight. No published human study supports the fixed subcutaneous microgram amounts it is usually sold with. Vials are mostly 10 mg, some 5 mg. The calculator converts a vial, a water volume and an amount into syringe units; the studied doses are listed below as reported, not converted.
Full research profile: Ipamorelin. For any other concentration, use the insulin syringe units converter.
For research use only. Not medical advice. This page does arithmetic; it does not recommend an amount.
Ipamorelin reconstitution chart
Concentration and micrograms per mark on a U-100 insulin syringe, by vial size and water added. The peptide amount never changes; only how concentrated it is.

Why the Ipamorelin study doses are not converted to units
The published human studies of Ipamorelin report doses per kilogram of body weight, not a fixed amount. Turning them into milligrams or syringe units would mean assuming a body weight, so this page lists them as reported and converts nothing. A fixed amount quoted elsewhere is not the same thing as a weight-based dose.

Common questions
How much bacteriostatic water do you add to a 10 mg Ipamorelin vial?
There is no single correct volume: the amount of peptide is fixed and the water only sets the concentration. For 10 mg, 1 mL gives 10 mg/mL (100 mcg per unit), 2 mL gives 5 mg/mL (50 mcg per unit) and 3 mL gives 3.33 mg/mL (33.3 mcg per unit). More water makes each syringe mark hold less, which makes small amounts easier to measure accurately.
What dose does the Ipamorelin calculator use?
None. The published human studies of Ipamorelin report doses per kilogram of body weight (4.21, 14.02, 42.13, 84.27 and 140.45 nmol/kg (dose-escalation); 0.03 mg/kg; 0.03 mg/kg twice daily, 0.06 mg/kg twice daily or 0.06 mg/kg three times daily (dose-finding arms)), so they are not a fixed amount, and the calculator does not turn them into one. It converts a vial size, a water volume and an amount you enter into a volume and syringe units; the tables on this page show concentrations only.
What does one unit on an insulin syringe mean?
A unit is a volume mark, not an amount of drug. On a U-100 syringe 100 units fill 1 mL, so 10 units is always 0.1 mL; how much peptide those 10 units hold depends only on the concentration you mixed. U-40 syringes use 40 marks per mL, so the same volume reads as a different number of units.
