Mechanism of Action
This combination pairs a GHRH receptor agonist with a ghrelin receptor agonist, which is pharmacologically distinct from combining two agents of the same class. CJC-1295 without DAC binds the GHRH receptor on somatotrophs and raises cyclic AMP, increasing growth hormone synthesis and release, while ipamorelin binds growth hormone secretagogue receptor 1a and additionally reduces hypothalamic somatostatin tone. Because the two receptors converge on growth hormone release through separate signalling routes and somatostatin inhibition is relieved at the same time, the combined effect reported in experimental settings exceeds the sum of either alone. No controlled human trials of this specific blend have been published.
