Chonluten

ExperimentalKhavinson lung bioregulator / researchExperimental

Also known as: Lung bioregulator, EDG, T-34

Chonluten (also called Lung bioregulator or EDG) is a khavinson lung bioregulator. Chonluten is Glu-Asp-Gly, a synthetic tripeptide in the Khavinson series associated with bronchial epithelium and lung tissue. The proposed mechanism follows the series hypothesis: short peptides entering the nucleus and interacting with promoter regions to modulate transcription of tissue-relevant genes.

Research summary

Glu-Asp-Gly, a synthetic tripeptide in the Khavinson bioregulator series, sold as a bronchial and lung bioregulator. The proposed tissue-specific activity rests on older Russian-language cytogenetic work that has not been independently replicated, and no receptor or signalling pathway has been characterised. There is no modern randomised trial evidence for respiratory outcomes, and it is not FDA-approved.

Peptide Library's Chonluten profile summarises 5 cited studies listed in the Science section, the compound's regulatory status, and research-protocol parameters reported for it. It is a research reference, not medical advice.

Science

Mechanism of Action

Chonluten is Glu-Asp-Gly, a synthetic tripeptide in the Khavinson series associated with bronchial epithelium and lung tissue. The proposed mechanism follows the series hypothesis: short peptides entering the nucleus and interacting with promoter regions to modulate transcription of tissue-relevant genes. Reported findings concern normalisation of bronchial epithelial gene expression in older Russian-language cytogenetic work. There is no independent replication, no characterised receptor or signalling cascade, and no modern randomised controlled trial evidence for the claimed pulmonary effects.

Origin

Synthetic short peptide bioregulator.

Targets

Bronchial epithelium (proposed)

Storage & stability

Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptide powder is far more stable than the reconstituted solution. Keep sealed vials cold, dry and away from light; long-term storage is typically frozen, with short-term refrigeration for vials in use.

Once reconstituted in bacteriostatic water, keep the solution refrigerated, avoid repeated freezeโ€“thaw cycles and agitation, and label the vial with the reconstitution date and concentration. Discard any solution that turns cloudy or shows particulates.

Degradation rates differ by sequence: peptides containing methionine, cysteine, asparagine or glutamine are more prone to oxidation and deamidation, so shelf life after reconstitution is compound-specific rather than universal.

Chonluten: frequently asked questions

What is Chonluten?

Glu-Asp-Gly, a synthetic tripeptide in the Khavinson bioregulator series, sold as a bronchial and lung bioregulator. The proposed tissue-specific activity rests on older Russian-language cytogenetic work that has not been independently replicated, and no receptor or signalling pathway has been characterised. There is no modern randomised trial evidence for respiratory outcomes, and it is not FDA-approved.

How does Chonluten work?

Chonluten is Glu-Asp-Gly, a synthetic tripeptide in the Khavinson series associated with bronchial epithelium and lung tissue. The proposed mechanism follows the series hypothesis: short peptides entering the nucleus and interacting with promoter regions to modulate transcription of tissue-relevant genes.

Is Chonluten FDA approved?

No. Chonluten is not approved by the FDA for any indication and is categorised as research-only. It has not been reviewed for safety or efficacy as a medicine, and published research should be read as investigation rather than established use.

What peptides are similar to Chonluten?

Compounds most often compared with Chonluten include Bonomarlot, Bronchogen, Cardiogen and Cartalax. They are grouped by shared mechanism or research area rather than by equivalence, and their regulatory status and evidence base differ.
