These are the doses used for Calcitonin Salmon in FDA labelling and published clinical studies, reported as each source states them, one row per regimen. They describe what was studied or approved for a specific population. They are not a recommendation, and none of them is a dose for any individual.

Studied regimens and sources
Calcitonin salmon has FDA-approved human dosages. Miacalcin injection is 100 USP Units a day under the skin or into a muscle for Paget's disease of bone and for postmenopausal osteoporosis, and starts at 4 USP Units/kg every 12 hours for hypercalcemia (up to 8 USP Units/kg every 6 hours). The nasal spray for postmenopausal osteoporosis is one 200-unit spray a day, alternating nostrils.

Where sources disagree
- Doses are in USP Units, not micrograms, and injected and nasal doses differ (100 units injected versus 200 units sprayed). DailyMed lists no current brand-name nasal spray; the nasal row uses a generic label.
- The labels report a higher rate of malignancy with calcitonin salmon than placebo in a meta-analysis of 21 trials (4.1% versus 2.9%), so they say to re-evaluate the need for continued therapy periodically.
