ARA 290 (Cibinetide) dosage in published studies and labels
These are the doses used for ARA 290 (Cibinetide) in FDA labelling and published clinical studies, reported as each source states them, one row per regimen. They describe what was studied or approved for a specific population. They are not a recommendation, and none of them is a dose for any individual.

Studied regimens and sources
ARA 290 (cibinetide) has no approved dosage. Human dosing comes from phase 2 trials of daily injections under the skin for 28 days. In 64 people with sarcoidosis-related small nerve fiber loss, 1, 4 or 8 mg a day were compared with placebo, and only 4 mg significantly increased corneal nerve fiber area; a type 2 diabetes study used 4 mg a day.

Where sources disagree
- The trials are small, phase 2 and 28 days long. Surrogate endpoints such as corneal nerve fiber area were the primary measures, and no phase 3 trial has been published.
- ARA 290 is engineered from erythropoietin but is designed not to stimulate red blood cell production; erythropoietin doses do not apply to it.
