should research logs be shareable? i can see it both ways

open question rather than a request.

for: structured logs are more useful to others than prose writeups, and a shared format would make comparison possible in a way forum posts never will.

against: a log is personal data by definition, sharing invites presenting it as evidence, and n=1 records shared widely start to look like findings. thats the failure mode this whole forum tries to avoid.

if it existed id want it explicit, opt in per log, and clearly labeled as a personal record not a result. thoughts?

The against case is stronger than it looks. A shared structured log is more persuasive than a forum post precisely because it's structured. It borrows the look of data without the design.

Formatting something like data makes people read it as data. I'd be cautious.
