reply notifications on, upvote notifications off. thats basically it.

upvote notifications are the ones that train you to ignore the badge because theres never anything to do about them. replies are the only ones where something is waiting for you.

would also quite like a digest option rather than individual pings

    Defaults already have upvote notifications off, which is right. A digest option would help people following several threads.
